The annual SLEEC Retreat builds upon our regional strengths in ecology, evolution and conservation by bringing together scientists from across the St. Louis region to present their research, exchange ideas and build collaborations. The retreat features presentations by researchers working in ecology, evolution, and conservation at various institutions around St. Louis, a poster session, and a keynote speaker.
The sixth annual SLEEC retreat was held in the Center for Global Citizenship on the campus of Saint Louis University on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Directions to the Center for Global Citizenship can be found here (www.slu.edu/globalcitizenship/contact).

The retreat will feature oral and poster presentations by researchers working in ecology, evolution, and conservation at various institutions around St. Louis. The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Al Uy from the University of Miami (http://tropbiolab.org/JACU/). The Retreat will be held at the Center for Global Citizenship on the campus of Saint Louis University. The entire event during the day is free and will run from 9:00 – 5:00, with coffee, a light breakfast, and poster setup starting at 8:00. This will include a light breakfast, a box lunch, and coffee breaks in addition to the oral and poster presentations. There will also be a BBQ picnic following the retreat at the Humboldt Pavilion in Tower Grove Park from 5:30 - ?. The cost of the BBQ is $20, which will include food and drinks.

The 5th Annual SLEEC retreat was held Saturday September 17, 2016 at Principia College. As in previous years, the event ran most of the day, with both oral presentations and poster sessions, which individuals can sign up for when they register. A highlight of the program was the final presentation by a distinguished keynote speaker, Dr. Ruth Shaw (University of Minnesota)!
